BLINDSIGHT
FOR A LARGE CHOIR
2019

Blindsight is an immersive journey for a blindfolded audience. It is an all-encompassing, vitality-infusing musical-ritual in which each participant receives sensitive and personal attention. Created by Noam Enbar in collaboration with Yonatan Levy (texts), Nir Shauloff (dramaturgy) and members of "The Great Gehenna Choir”, Blindsight is a lively pastiche of existing and invented magical sound-practices.
Blindsight’s sound-world triggers personal associations, memories and visions. It is both a very individual experience and a communal one, with moments of loneliness and happy reunions with other members of the audience. The work evokes spirits of the natural world, it summons the non-human to heal humanity. its ecology is intuitive, sensory, primal.
